AI Budget

AI Budget allows Tenant Admins to define spending limits and alert thresholds for AI API usage within their tenant. This prevents unexpected overages from automated or high-volume AI feature usage.

Requires AI to be enabled for the tenant. Hidden in the System Tenant. Not visible when AI is disabled.

  • Monthly Budget Cap — Set a maximum spend limit (in the tenant’s currency) for AI API calls per calendar month.
  • Alert Thresholds — Configure notifications to be triggered when usage reaches defined percentages of the budget (e.g., 75%, 90%, 100%).
  • Hard Stop vs. Soft Limit — Choose whether the system blocks AI requests when the budget is exceeded (hard stop) or only sends alerts (soft limit).
  • Budget Reset — Budgets reset automatically at the start of each calendar month. Manual reset is available for mid-month corrections.
  • Per-Feature Allocation — Optionally allocate portions of the total budget to specific AI-powered features within the portal.
