AI Credentials (System)

System-level AI Credentials allow Super Users to configure AI provider connections that apply platform-wide, as opposed to tenant-specific credentials configured by individual Tenant Admins. These credentials can serve as a shared fallback or be used exclusively for system-level AI operations.

RoleAccess Level
Tenant AdminNo access (see Settings > AI > AI Credentials for tenant-level credentials)
Account AdminNo access
Super UserFull access

Visible to Super Users only. Available in the System Tenant context.

  • Platform-Wide Provider Configuration — Set API credentials for AI providers (e.g., OpenAI, Azure OpenAI) that apply at the system level.
  • Fallback Credential Policy — Configure whether system-level credentials are used as a fallback when a tenant has not configured their own credentials.
  • Multiple Provider Management — Register credentials for multiple providers and control which is the active default.
  • Credential Validation — Test connectivity to the AI provider API before saving.
  • Audit Trail — All access to and modification of system AI credentials is logged in the audit system.

:::tip TODO

  • Document the fallback credential resolution order (system vs. tenant-level).
  • Add a guide on configuring Azure OpenAI with private endpoint settings.
  • Clarify the security model for system credentials vs. tenant credentials. :::
